In Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust v AKC[2021] EWHC 2607 (QB), Mrs Justice Steyn (sitting with Master Brown) on the appeal held that the signatory to a Bill of Costs must be clearly identifiable. She also ruled that a receiving party must be transparent in providing the names, grades and status of the fee earners within their Bill(s) of Costs.
